Long Beach
The 20-kilometre west-coast strip running south from Duong Dong town, where most of the island's hotels, restaurants and bars are. The sand is coarser than Sao but this is the only side of the island where the sun sets over open water.

Long Beach is one of the places most visitors to Phu Quoc make time for. Vietnam's largest island, in the Gulf of Thailand: white-sand beaches, a national park over half its area, and a dry season while the mainland is wet.
Before you go: The northern end near Duong Dong is built up and busy; the middle section is quieter and cleaner. Sunset here is the reliable daily event.
