How we research
Where our information comes from, how we check it, how we handle prices, and what we earn from links.
Who writes this
Viet Global Travel is a small editorial team based in Hanoi, writing about Vietnam for visitors from the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland.
How we check things
Every guide is cross-referenced against at least two independent sources and, wherever we can, against our own notes from the ground.
Each page carries the date it was last updated, and anything with a price in it is revisited at least twice a year.
Prices and exchange rates
Every figure is a range and an estimate, not a quote. Entry tickets, rooms and meals move with the season and with how far ahead you book.
US dollar figures use one dated exchange rate rather than a live feed, so the same page never shows two different numbers on two loads.
Converted at 25,400₫ to US$1, checked 2026-08. Use as a guide, not a quote.
Where AI fits in
Some first drafts are assisted by a language model. No draft is published without a human editor going through it.
Anything not yet reviewed stays readable but is marked noindex and kept out of the sitemap until a person signs it off.
Affiliate links
Some links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We say so directly above the block, not in the footer.
No partner pays to be listed, and no sponsored content runs without a label.
Some links below are affiliate links. If you book through one we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend.
