Viet Hai Village
A small farming village on the far side of the island, historically reachable only on foot or by boat and still without a road to Cat Ba town. Homestays, bicycles and a valley of paddy fields ringed by karst make it the quietest place on the island.

Viet Hai Village is one of the places most visitors to Cat Ba Island make time for. The largest island in the Ha Long archipelago, with a national park, a climbing scene and the beaches Ha Long Bay does not have.
Before you go: Most people arrive by boat from a Lan Ha day trip and cycle the valley. Walking in over the park trail and taking the boat out is the better combination.
