Hon Mun Island is one of the places most visitors to Nha Trang make time for. A six-kilometre city beach in a sheltered bay, with Cham towers behind it, islands offshore and the country's most reliable diving.
Before you go: Sections of the reef have been closed at times to allow recovery, so ask what is actually accessible. Choose a dive operator on safety record and group size rather than price.
