A 19th-century Buddhist temple at the foot of a hill in the city, with a mosaic dragon entrance and a flight of about 150 steps climbing past a reclining Buddha to a large white seated Buddha at the top, visible from much of Nha Trang.
Long Son Pagoda is one of the places most visitors to Nha Trang make time for. A six-kilometre city beach in a sheltered bay, with Cham towers behind it, islands offshore and the country's most reliable diving.
Before you go: Free to enter. People at the gate sometimes present themselves as official guides and ask for donations — the pagoda does not charge admission.
