Kho Muong Village is one of the places most visitors to Pu Luong make time for. A nature reserve of terraced valleys, bamboo waterwheels and Thai stilt villages — the quiet version of Sapa, four hours from Hanoi.
Before you go: The descent is steep and rough in either direction; walk down and arrange a ride back, or go with a guide on a motorbike.
