Tomb of Minh Mang is one of the places most visitors to Hue make time for. Vietnam's imperial capital from 1802 to 1945, with a walled citadel, seven royal tombs along the river and the country's most distinctive regional cooking.
Before you go: About 12km from the city and usually combined with Khai Dinh, which is nearby. Reachable by boat on the Perfume River, though the boat is slower than it looks.
