Fansipan is one of the places most visitors to Sapa make time for. Terraced valleys under the Hoang Lien Son range, and the easiest place in Vietnam to spend two days walking between highland villages.
Before you go: The summit is in cloud far more often than not. Go early, and check the mountain from town first — if the peak is invisible at 8am it usually stays that way.
