Da Lat Flower Gardens is one of the places most visitors to Da Lat make time for. A pine-forested hill town at 1,500 metres, built by the French as an escape from the heat and still the coolest city in Vietnam.
Before you go: Peaks around the flower festival period in December and January. Outside that it is pleasant rather than remarkable — go early and combine it with the lake walk.
