The twin-peaked massif north of the city, rising to over 2,100 metres and central to the origin story of the local K'Ho people. A jeep track climbs to the lower viewpoint at around 1,950 metres; the higher summit is a proper two- to three-hour walk through pine forest.

Langbiang Mountain is one of the places most visitors to Da Lat make time for. A pine-forested hill town at 1,500 metres, built by the French as an escape from the heat and still the coolest city in Vietnam.
Before you go: The jeep to the lower peak takes ten minutes and skips all the effort. Walk it instead if you can — the forest is the better half of the experience.
