Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark is one of the places most visitors to Ha Giang make time for. The northernmost province in Vietnam, and the country's best road trip: three or four days of limestone plateau, hairpin passes and border villages.
Before you go: The old quarter of Dong Van town is the natural overnight stop, with a small square of century-old shophouses and a Sunday morning market.
